Multicar crash in Prince George’s Co. sends 10 people to the hospital

Police in Prince George’s County, Maryland, are investigating a multicar crash that sent 10 people to the hospital over the weekend.

The collision happened on the 3300 block of Suitland Parkway near Branch Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Prince George’s County Fire and EMS said first responders rescued two people who were trapped inside the cars. One of the individuals was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition, another was transported by ambulance.

Eight other people, ranging in age from seven to 47, were also evaluated at the hospital. 

Crash investigators are still working to determine how the crash happened.

Suitland Parkway was shut down for several hours for the crash investigation, but has since reopened.
