A batch of voter information guides for the Montgomery County Board of Elections contained errors regarding polling places and party affiliation information.
The county’s board of elections was notified of the error by voters on Sept. 22.
That prompted the board to ask the vendor who printed the guides to conduct a review and reprint corrected guides for the 11 precincts affected. Those precincts are located in Germantown, Poolesville and Clarksburg in Maryland. The corrected guides will be mailed to those voters by the start of next week.
In a statement, the board of elections said the vendor had reassured elections officials that the guides for the remaining 246 precincts were correct.
More than 700,000 registered voters live in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Voters can confirm their polling places by texting the word “FIND” to 77788 or by going to the Montgomery County Board of Elections website and looking for the “Finding Your Polling Place” link.
Residents can also see their voting record, which includes party affiliation and polling place, by texting “CHECK” to 77788.
