Duo from ‘Whose Line is it Anyway’ brings improv to Strathmore Sunday

It’ll be a fun, if unpredictable, time Sunday as a pair of comedians brings the ‘From Whose Line Is It Anyway?’ Tour to the stage in North Bethesda, Maryland.

Colin Mochrie will be joined by fellow ‘Whose Line?’ comedian Brad Sherwood at Strathmore on Sunday at 4 p.m.

WTOP contributor Joe Yasharoff spoke with Mochrie about his career and the upcoming show.

Colin Mochrie’s plans for upcoming performance at the Strathmore

You can expect audience participation. Mochrie said that the audience is key to the performance.

“Everything starts with a suggestion from them,” Mochrie said. “We have that audience members on stage with us for I’d say 70% of the show.”

You should not expect politics. Mochrie and his team decided long ago to leave political jokes to the political comedians.

“We realized it’s not like we’re, you know, Jon Stewart or Bill Maher or anyone political,” he said. “Our satire is, ‘Boy, that’s stupid.’ It’s not quite insightful. It’s not helping anyone.”

    You can get tickets online.
