Chip City, a national cookie chain with several locations around the D.C. region, announced Friday that it’s closing all of its stores.
The bakery said the closures come after “extensive efforts to stabilize” the business “in the face of significant macro-economic headwinds.”
“We are grateful to our dedicated employees and loyal customers who have supported us for the past 10 years,” Chip City’s statement read in part.
Chip City had locations in Bethesda, Maryland, and in Virginia’s Arlington and McLean areas.
In light of the closures, the MidnighTreats bakery said any customers who have Chip City gift cards or coupons are invited to use them at its Arlington location at 4238 Wilson Blvd., Level C, inside the Ballston Quarter.
“We want to make sure no Cookie Monster goes unserved!” MidnighTreats said in a post on Instagram.
All coupons and gift cards need to be redeemed by Oct. 14.
