Turkiye September 2026: Togg smashes records again, Renault Boreal #2

Togg holds a record 8% share at home in September.

The Turkish new light vehicle market endures another mediocre month in September at -24.3% year-on-year to 83,469 units. This brings the year-to-date volume down -13.4% to 803,465. Renault (-0.9%) resists and holds onto the brands ranking lead at 13.7% share vs. 12.8% so far this year. Local EV maker Togg (+196.8%) skyrockets to #2 with 6,692 sales and 8% share, smashing all its previous records reached just last month (#6, 4,886 sales and 6% share). Fiat (-42.4%) and Volkswagen (-29.2%) both sink while Hyundai (-0.1%) is stable and rounds out the Top 5 again. Mercedes (+3%) is the only additional gainer in the Top 10.

Over in the passenger car models charts, the Togg T10X (+299.3%) spectacularly quadruples its year-ago volume to repeat at #1 with a record 6.6% share. The brand’s other model, the T10F sedan, also repeats at a record level at #5 with 3.9% share. Meanwhile the Renault Boreal spends its third month in market at a brilliant 2nd place with 5.1% share and has already crosses the 10,000 cumulative sales mark. Despite being discontinued, the Renault Megane Sedan is back up 17 spots on August to #3 with 4.4% share vs. 3.6% so far this year. It distances the Toyota Corolla (-2.2%). The new Kia EV2 breaks into the Top 40 for the first time, landing directly at #21.

Previous month: Turkiye August 2026: Togg T10X signs first ever win in market down -20.3%
