Poland September 2026: MG breaks into Top 10 in record month

MG is the #7 brand in Poland in September, its first time in the Top 10.

New sales of Passenger Cars in Poland gain a sturdy 13% year-on-year in September to 56,357 units, which is a record for the month. The year-to-date tally is up 10% to 470,520. Toyota (-5.7%) stays on top of the brands charts but drops to 13.7% share. It is followed by Skoda (+8.1%), also trailing the market, and a surging Volkswagen (+27.1%). Kia (+15.6%) also satisfies at #4 unlike Audi (+0.7%) and Mercedes (+1.3%). MG (+88%) surges five spots on August to #7, the carmaker’s very first Polish Top 10 finish. Hyundai (+33.9%) and Dacia (+23.6%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10 while below, Chery (+838.5%), Mazda (+152.7%) and BYD (+85.7%) stand out. Chinese manufacturers hold 15.6% of the market, their second highest performance below the 15.9% of last month.

Looking at the models ranking, the Toyota Corolla (-2.5%) holds onto the top spot ahead of the Skoda Octavia (-12.7%) and Kia Sportage (+27.2%). The Hyundai Tucson (+104.9%) soars year-on-year and gains two spots on August to #4 with the Toyota Yaris Cross (+0.5%) rounding out the Top 5. The MG HS (+29.8%) and ZS (+201.8%) both make it into the September Top 10, with the Skoda Scala doing so as well at #9.
