Hilltop Holdings: Q3 Earnings Snapshot

    DALLAS (AP) — DALLAS (AP) — Hilltop Holdings Inc. (HTH) on Thursday reported third-quarter profit of $24.9 million.

    The bank, based in Dallas, said it had earnings of 44 cents per share.

    The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 64 cents per share.

    The insurance holding compnay posted revenue of $379 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $309.5 million, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $319.9 million.
