What is the Renewal Status for All of Us Are Dead?

The official channel for the series has officially renewed the series for the second season. Netflix has greenlit the series way before in June 2022 during the Geeked Week. A few months after the release of season 1, it became one of the biggest Netflix’s non-English series. The news broke in a short video by the cast members. A question still hovers over viewers’ minds over and over again: “Are they all really dead?”

The indication pointed toward 2024 filming, but Korean reported that Netflix has deliberately pushed production to 2025 for better quality and a better working environment. Auditions took place in early 2025, while the principal photography began in July 2025. By February 2026, the filming of the series was wrapped up. Seo Ji-hoon is joining the cast along with other actors. He completed shooting for his scenes before enlisting for military service in February at the age of 28. While, director Lee Jae-kyu and writer Chun Sung-li have both returned. In 2022, director Lee has teased, saying that “if season 1 was about humans surviving, season 2 will be about zombies surviving.”
