Lidl, the German supermarket chain known for its imported foods from Europe and discount goods, is opening a location in Silver Spring, a Lidl spokesperson confirmed to Bethesda Today on Friday.

The grocery store will move into the former Amazon Fresh space in the retail center at 12345 Columbia Pike. A brochure from commercial real estate company KLNB shows Lidl as the anchor grocery in the retail center with a “coming soon” message.
