Police identified Saijuan Chen, 62, of Rockville, as the woman who died after being hit by a Jeep in a hit-and-run Wednesday evening in Aspen Hill, according to a Friday statement from Montgomery County police.   

The collision occurred in the area of Arctic Avenue and Bel Pre Road, police said. The area is a residential neighborhood of single-family homes. 

Shortly after 7:20 p.m., police officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews responded to the area for a report of a pedestrian struck, according to police.
