1 killed, 3 wounded in Northeast DC shooting, police say

One man has died and three others were wounded following a shooting in Northeast Friday afternoon, D.C. police say.

The shooting happened in the 6200 block of Dix Street, near the border with Maryland, at about 1:45 p.m.

When officers arrived, one of the men wasn’t breathing and the other three were conscious. All four were taken to the hospital, one by helicopter and the other three by D.C. Fire and EMS.

One man died at the hospital, according to an update from police.

Police believe the shooting suspect drives a silver Honda Accord, but officials don’t know the license plate of that vehicle.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call 202-727-9099 or text 50411.

Police had initially said they believed one of the people who was shot was a juvenile male. But they later clarified that only adults were shot.
